I had 2 seperate well respected Mechanics in the area checkout the remains.

Both mechanics seperately concluded the engine was running normal to rich based on the amount of carbon on the Pistons. They also confirmed when a PCIII fails the map defaults to the original ECU. The amount of wear on the cylinders was consistant with 20K miles wear, except for some scoring most likely produced when the output shaft bearing failed. As the bearings wore, the shrapnel was released into the oil and minimally scored the cyliner walls. |
